Cabana Postăvarul is a mountain hut at roughly 1585 m, located on the Postăvaru massif, next to Poiana Brașov. Thanks to easy access by cable car, it is one of the most popular mountain bases in the country, both in summer and in winter.
Set near the massif's summit, the hut offers wide panoramas toward Brașov, the Bucegi and Piatra Craiului. The combination of easy access and views makes it suitable for hikers of all levels, from families to skiing enthusiasts.
Getting there
The most comfortable access is by cable car from Poiana Brașov, which climbs quickly toward the massif's plateau; from the upper station you reach the hut on foot in a few minutes.
On foot, the classic route climbs from Poiana Brașov on the Poiana Brașov – Postăvarul route, with the appropriate marking, an indicative climb of 1.5-2.5 hours through forest.
